On Friday May 25th, Linda and I headed into Portland with our new friend Rachel. We showed her around NE and SE Portland, ate at Two Brothers – Bosnian food – and walked along the Willamette waterfront where City Fare had just started. After a couple of passes up an down the river and eating an elephant ear while listening to Hit Machine perform on the main stage, we settled in along the railing and waited for the fireworks to start. Everything was shot off a barge in the middle of the Willamette and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately I had decided to not bring a tripod since I thought it would be overly crowded so I ended up having to balance the camera on a stone pillar for the entire show. I did manage to get a few decent shots out of the 200 or so pictures I took.
